Bald Eagle Population Has Quadrupled Since 2009!

From an article in the New York Times, bald eagle populations have been soaring of late. Something that anyone visiting the Sacramento NWR Complex has seen firsthand. When I began visting the refuges some 15 years ago, the sighting of a bald eagle was a rare but amazing event. These days there are almost always multiple eagles on the refuge during the fall/winter migration season. Some are locals but many follow their food source south in the fall, returning north during the early spring. Great read, here is a link to the article on www.nytimes.com:
